1. Senior MySQL PHP Engineer

We are currently looking for a full-time PHP/MySQL Software Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience. Responsibilities include building our web-based video analytics application and extending our video ad server with new features.

Location

Mountain View, CA. Telecommuting allowed 1 day per week. Only full-time applicants will be considered.

Required Skills

• At least 2 years of web application development experience in PHP/MySQL.
• Rigorous understanding of Object Oriented Programming Skills
• Model-View-Controller Pattern Web Programming Experience
• 1+ years of AJAX and JQuery Experience
• A BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Desired Skills

• Experience using templating systems such as Smarty Templating Engine
• Experience working with JavaScript (especially jQuery/AJAX).
• Excellent knowledge of Linux development environment and open source tools/platforms.
• Deployment experience with Amazon Services S3/EC2 is very desirable.

2. Front-end Engineer

We are currently looking for a full-time front-end developer with 2+ years of CSS/HTML/ JavaScript experience. Responsibilities include building the front-end of our web applications The engineer must be able to start with graphic design, create CSS/HTML and JavaScript to provide the desired user experience. He/she should be able to take direction from product managers to make visual changes. Must be comfortable with AJAX and Web 2.0 interactions.

Required Skills

• A keen interest in user experience,; must strive to conceive and build the most user friendly interfaces
• Sharp eye to spot visual problems, and skills to correct them using simple, clean CSS
• At least 2 years of web front-end development experience in CSS/ HTML/ JavaScript .
• Solid grasp of AJAX and JQuery including JQuery UI Toolkit
• A BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Desired Skills

• PHP Programming Experience
• Smarty Templating Engine
• Fluency with Photoshop. Although we do not expect graphics design skills, he/she should be able to accomplish basic operations. He/she should be able to create his own gradients, export images in the right formats, set/reset transparency layers etc.

3. Research and Development Engineer

Job duties: Design and develop new image and video processing and identification solutions. Implement the software for such systems. Specifically:

• Research and develop, design and test software for commercial applications, applying principles and techniques of electrical and computer engineering to identify and analyze video and images
• Write algorithms to conduct vision processing by encoding and decoding images and videos using state-of-the-art video compression and processing standards.
• Focus on designing, developing and delivery of video watermarking, fingerprinting and/or identification methods and software for real time image and video processing systems.
• Build upon the technological advances in the area of video processing and identification and apply to company’s media identification and processing efforts.
• Implement rapid prototypes of video processing and identification methods.
• Convert prototypes to production grade software for operating in a distributed and scalable manner using network programming and C/C++ in a cloud computing and Linux environment.
• Design, develop, test and enhance contextual based video identification algorithms, object recognition for video object detection and classification. Integrate them with Anvato's products and design and conduct experiments to compare performance of content identification and detection algorithms.
• Prepare technical reports for CTO.
• This job requires individual be able to contribute as an independent research engineer and software developer. It does not involve management or coordination of other engineers.
